The antidote for dumb mistakes

Everyone has experience an uh-oh moment. You do something mindbogglingly stupid. You know you've done it. You wish you could undo it right away.

...and you can, kind of. In practically every situation you find yourself in Windows and Windows software, and in most Mac apps too, remember: Control Z.

Hold down the Ctrl key. Press the Z key. Presto!

The last thing you did is undone.

  1. Oh...and if the last dumb mistake you made was to press Ctrl+z, there is a cure.

The antidote to an accidental Ctrl+Z is Ctrl+Y.
